The Memramcook Public Library has been serving the public since January 14, 1964. The first batch of books included 800 volumes divided into fiction, non-fiction, French, English, for adults and for kids. Occupying approximately 327 square meters (3520 square feet), the library is now open 28.5 hours a week and has one full-time librarian.

1 296 members: 841 are 13 years and older and 455 are 12 years or less.
13 201 documents are available at the Library. They are made up of:
11 995 French books, 837 for adults; 8 518 for kids and 170 for teens.
2 470 English books, 1812 for adults; 590 for kids and 68 for teens.
365 periodicals, 56 audio recordings, 47 NFB videos and 727 other videos.
Many programs and information sessions are offered to the public during the year such as conferences, story telling hours, summer book-reading clubs, the “I love books” club, Club Hackmatack, Babies at the library and arts and crafts.

Two computers are available to the public.
Hours of Business
Please note that the Library’s summer hours begin the third Monday of the month of June and end Labor Day weekend. Regular hours will begin the second Monday of September.
